The Society to Increase Mobility, STIM, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization focusing on users and potential users of neurotechnology.  Charged with a mission to provide information to and for the users and potential users of neurotechnology and to encourage both the growth and the direction of developments in the neurotechnology industry, this organization will fill a needed void to better serve those that may benefit from technology advancements.
The Society to Increase Mobility, Inc. has a vision based on four pillars of service targeted to users, potential users, industry participants and the general public.  Those are:

    1. To Educate,
    2. To Update,
    3. To Communicate, and
    4. To Advocate.
With this vision, STIM will build and infrastructure and programming.  The following business plan provides a road map on how STIM plans to accomplish its mission as well as the resources need to do so.

Our Guiding Principles
It is The Society to Increase Mobility (STIM) aim to:
  1. Provide a forum for users to share experiences and for potential users to ask questions to the community.
  2. Provide a channel through which potential users can ask questions of the community.  
  3. Promote awareness of neurotechnology products and systems to users and potential users.
  4. Provide reliable and independent information to users and potential system users regarding both currently available and emerging neuro-technological devices.
  5. Explain to both current and potential users the applications and benefits of neurotechnology.
  6. Advocate for access through governmental institutions, insurance companies and legislative bodies.
  7. Promote the growth and development of the neurotechnology field.
  8. Create a better understanding of users and potential users by providing 'customer-need' research data.
